The Asia Pacific Cultural Center (APCC) invites you to its annual Korean Chuseok Family Festival, a celebration of the traditional Korean harvest holiday, often called Korean Thanksgiving.
The festival is a free, family-friendly event with two locations and dates:
1. Gig Harbor Event (5th Annual)
* Date & Time: Saturday, September 27, 2025 | 11 am - 4 pm
* Location: Skansie Brothers Park and Netshed (3211 Harborview Drive, Gig Harbor)
2. Tacoma Event (9th Annual)
* Date & Time: Saturday, October 4, 2025 | 11 am - 4 pm
* Location: APCC (4851 South Tacoma Way, Tacoma)
Festival Highlights Include:
* Cultural Performances: Traditional Korean music and dance on stage.
* Hands-on Activities:
* Learning to make Traditional Chuseok rice-cake (Chuseok tteok).
* Lotus lantern making.
* Having your name written in Korean calligraphy.
* Face painting with traditional Korean motifs.
* Food & Literature: Enjoy traditional Korean foods and a reading from the Korean poem Sijo winner.
* Community Finale: Everyone is invited to join the Finale performance.
